The Artist’s Cut is a Northern Film & Media scheme for UK-based artists with a background 􏰒􏰅􏰇in film or photography to take part in a film commission and development programme designed to nurture bold new voices in narrative film. BFMAF proudly presents three new Festival Commissions in partnership with BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Channel 4’s 􏱌􏰄􏰌􏰉􏰁Random Acts and Active Northumberland from Sebastian Buerkner, Saeed Taji Farouky􏰋􏰂􏰎􏰀 and 􏰄􏰌􏰉Jessica Sarah Rinland. With respective focuses on animation, documentary and essayistic forms of filmmaking, 􏰎􏰁Buerkner, Farouky and Rinland joined The Artist’s Cut with aims to broaden their practice.
