30 & Under Festival Pass

£30 for anyone aged 30 and under at the time of purchase.

Booking is free with a Pass, but you still need to reserve a seat for each screening:

1. Log into the account you used to buy your Festival Pass.

2. Add full-price tickets for the films you want to see to your basket.

3. At checkout, your total will automatically reduce to £0.00.

4. You’ll receive your e-tickets by email from tickets@maltingsberwick.co.uk.

You can also log back into your account at any time to download your e-tickets.

You’re welcome to book tickets in person during the Festival by showing your Pass at The Maltings, but we recommend booking in advance to avoid missing out — especially for smaller venues, which often fill up quickly.

Arriving on time helps everyone. For sold-out screenings, we’ll run a waiting list at the box office. If seats are still unfilled at the advertised start time, they may be reallocated to those waiting.

At The Maltings Cinema @ The Barracks, please note that the entrance is at the front of the screen — we may need to restrict late entry to avoid disrupting the audience.

How do I buy a Pass for me and a friend?

Each Festival Pass is linked to a single account and only allows you to book one ticket per event. If you buy two Passes under the same account, you’ll run into problems when booking.

To buy a Pass for you and someone else:

1. Create an account for yourself

2. Buy a Pass

3. Log out

4. Create an account for your friend using their email address

5. Buy a Pass under their account

It doesn’t matter which payment details you use.

What should I do if I can’t afford a Pass?

We offer a limited number of free Festival Passes and Day Passes for anyone facing financial hardship. If you’d like to attend the Festival but can’t afford a Pass, please email us at info@bfmaf.org.

I’ve attended before — do I need to create a new account?

No — if you created an account for a previous Festival (or with The Maltings), you can use the same login details.

Can I get a refund if I can no longer attend?

You can request a refund up to one week before the Festival begins. Please forward your booking confirmation to info@bfmaf.org.

I am 30, can I get a 30 Under 30 Festival Pass?

Yes! As long as you’re 30 or under at the time of purchase, you’re eligible.

I’ve booked a screening but can’t attend — what should I do?

Please forward your e-ticket and booking confirmation to info@bfmaf.org so we can reallocate your seat to someone else.

I’m a writer or journalist — should I get a Festival Pass?

We offer a limited number of free Press Passes.
If you’re writing about the Festival, reviewing films, or planning to interview a filmmaker, please email press@bfmaf.org to request a Press Pass.
