Individual Tickets offer access to a single film screening at The Maltings Cinema.

Great for anyone living locally or passing through. If you’re looking to nip into the cinema for one film over the weekend – we recommend an individual ticket.

On sale Tuesday 11 February 2025.

Once you have purchased a Pass, you will be able to book tickets for individual screenings from Tuesday 11 February 2025 for free.

1. Log into the account you created when you purchased your Festival Pass.
2. Add tickets for each film you want to see to your basket.
3. When you’ve secured a seat for each screening you want to attend, head to the checkout – where the automatic reduction to £0.00 will be applied.
4. You will receive an email confirmation email from The Maltings Box Office with your e-tickets attached.

You will also be able to log in to your account and download your e-tickets via the website.

You can show up at the Maltings and present your Festival Pass to book your tickets on the day but we recommend you book tickets in advance for every screening you wish to attend during the Festival to avoid disappointment. Screenings in the Main Hall are less likely to sell out, but all other screenings in smaller theatres tend to sell out!

How do I buy a Pass for me and a friend?

If you buy two Passes under one account, this will cause problems later when booking tickets for the films you want to see. You can only book one ticket per event using your pass.

To buy a Pass for you and someone else:

1. Create an account for yourself
2. Buy a Pass
3. Log out
4. Create an account for your friend using their email address.
5. Buy a Pass under their account.

It doesn’t matter which payment details you use.

What should I do if I can’t afford a Pass?

We offer a limited number of free Festival Passes and Day Passes to anyone who is facing financial hardship. If you cannot afford to buy a Pass but would like to come to the Festival, please email info@bfmaf.org.

I made an account for a previous Festival, do I need to create a new one?

No, you can log in to an account from a previous Festival edition.

Can I get a refund if I can no longer attend?

Yes, you can request a refund until the week before the Festival starts. Please forward your booking confirmation to info@bfmaf.org.

I am 30 years old, can I get a 30 Under 30 Festival Pass?

Yes, you must be 30 years old or under at the time of purchase.

I have reserved a seat for a screening but I can no longer attend

Please forward your e-ticket and booking confirmation to info@bfmaf.org if you can no longer attend a screening you booked for. This means we will be able to re-allocate your seat to someone else.

I want to write a Festival report, review a film or interview a filmmaker for a publication – should I get a Festival Pass?

We offer a limited number of free Press Passes.

If you are interested in covering the Festival for a publication, please email press@bfmaf.org to request a Press pass.

I am an artist, filmmaker and/or industry professional – should I get a Festival Pass?

If you work in film and/or the arts – as a practitioner or professional – you should take advantage of the benefits of an Accreditation.
