Pride & Care – Have Your Say on Social Media with Film.
Age 16-25? LGBTQIA+ / questioning / curious or an ally? Bring your opinions and questions on social media!
Explore how strong queer voices bounce back, connect and thrive through film and media with this one-day workshop.
The law is changing for younger people relating to the proposed under 16 social media ban. We want to hear about your experiences growing up Gen Z.

Media has always been a lifeline for queer communities, especially those living outside the city – come along and explore amazing media created to support queer communities, providing collective care.
What’s Involved?
- Use green screen and ‘gonzo’ style journalism – where reporters use their wit and style to put their views and experience across with no compromise!
- Experiment with DIY video and make new friends exploring the ideas of ‘real’ and ‘digital’ communities, curiosity, care, and coming together.
- No experience is needed. Food and travel support are provided.
- Participants will explore how queer voices bounce back, connect, and thrive through the media and friendship.
