A Relaxed Screening of this programme will take place simultaneously at Berwick Town Hall Council Chamber.
The Glass Booth
From a 1985 Reagan–Gorbachev summit to a Dublin primary school, The Glass Booth playfully studies the intersubjective nature of interpretation and technologies that mediate language. Across everyday and high-stakes vignettes, it centres interpreters themselves as performers of an intimate, sensory labour—one of intense listening, split-second decoding, and embodied response.
COMMS FAIL (Scratch Performance)
COMMS FAIL amplifies autistic perspectives by imagining the electromagnetic impact of the sun and the failure of everyday communications technologies. For BFMAF, Roy will present a scratch performance ahead of the premiere later this spring. An Unlimited UK Partner Award 2025 commission with Liverpool Biennial, made possible thanks to funding from Arts Council England.
